How to Register for the Ethiopian NGAT Exam?
If you are thinking of applying to a postgraduate programme in Ethiopia, Ethiopian NGAT registration will end soon. For postgraduate applicants in Ethiopia, the exam they must take is the National Graduate Admission Test (NGAT). The Ethiopian Education and Examination Authority conducts the entire registration process and the examination.
Ethiopian NGAT registration is open until July 25, 2018 (Ethiopian Calendar). The registration portal will then close after that date. Do not wait until the last minute.
The registration process for Ethiopian NGAT is simple. The process is as follows:
- Click the official registration link https://ngat.ethernet.edu.et
- Make sure you have a valid ID, as it is required to take the exam.
- Go to this site and complete the requested information.
- Pay the service fee.
The service charge for Ethiopian NGAT is 750 Birr. You cannot pay the registration fee directly or through any bank. The only way to pay is through Telebirr at the time of registration. Therefore, before you begin filling out the form, ensure your Telebirr account is activated and has sufficient funds.
Moreover, the officials confirmed that the registration for Ethiopian NGAT will be conducted in all public universities. The number of exam centers will depend on the number of people who register for the exam. The exact locations have not been finalised yet, as they are directly linked to the registration number.
Although the officials haven’t announced the exam date yet. It will probably be announced when registration closes, and the officials will have a better idea of both the number of candidates and the location of centres.

Moreover, the Ethiopian Graduate Admission Test (GAT) for postgraduate studies at Addis Ababa University will be conducted on the 23rd and 24th of July 2018 (Ethiopian Calendar). There will be both morning and afternoon sessions, so be sure to check your schedule.
