Oromia Education Bureau Confirms 86% Grade 8 Pass Rate
Yesterday, the Oromia Education Bureau announced the Grade 8 exam result for the 2018 Ethiopian academic year. The Deputy Head of the Oromia Education Bureau, Dr. Bultossa Hirko, shared that about 86% of the candidates have passed their Grade 8 exam. To pass the exam students needs at least 50% marks.
It is a good achievement for the area and a reflection of the work that students have done this year. The total number of Grade 8 candidates was 415,000, and of these, 354,000 passed the 8th Grade exam. The number of students who did not pass is approximately 61,000.
