South Ethiopia 6th & 8th Grade Exam Results 2018 Announced
South Ethiopia Education Bureau announced the regional South Ethiopia 6th & 8th Grade exam results for the 2018 academic year (Ethiopian Calendar). Today, the head of the South Ethiopia Education Bureau, Mr. Abiyot Demese, held a press conference and shared the results of grade 6 and 8 for 2018/2026.

- Enter your registration number and your first name.
- Click the button “Check Your Result.”
- Your result will show on the screen.

Mr. Abiyot Demese shared that 86,502 students registered for the 8th grade exam, while 78,203 students appeared. 47,307 students successfully obtained passing marks, which makes the total passing rate 60.4% for the South Ethiopia region.
Similarly, 126,224 students registered for the 6th grade exam, and 110,566 students appeared. 70,584 students achieved passing marks, bringing the total passing rate in the South Ethiopia region to 63.8%.
Moreover, Mr. Abiyot Demese shared that 540 schools fully participated in the Grade 8 exams in the region, while 155 schools had no Grade 8 students. Similarly, 476 schools fully participated in the Grade 6 exams in the region, while 81 schools had no Grade 6 students.
Furthermore, the head of the South Ethiopia Education Bureau, Mr. Abiyot Demese, stated that the overall regional Grade 8 passing rate decreased by 3% this year, from 66% last year. For Grade 6 students, the passing rate last year was 56%, which increased to 63.84% this year.
Today, the Ministry of Health has announced the Ethiopian HPLE exam date. The Ministry of Health has set the Health Professional Licensing Exam registration window from July 27 to July 30, 2018 (E.C.).
