MOE Announces Secondary School Teacher Jobs in Ethiopia
The Ministry of Education has published secondary school teacher jobs in Ethiopia. These jobs are for federal special needs secondary schools. This might be a good opportunity for you if you have the right experience. Here are the requirements and the steps for submitting your application.
The Ministry of Education is looking to recruit more qualified teachers to the federal special needs secondary schools. This means that teachers in these schools must not only be qualified on paper but also prepared to help students with various needs. The Ethiopian Ministry has issued guidelines.
A second degree (Master’s or higher) in a related area of secondary school education is required. It needs to be directly related to the original degree. Therefore, if you majored in chemistry as an undergraduate, your master’s program should be in the same major, not completely change your direction.
A minimum of three years of experience as a secondary school teacher. In addition, you need to have completed a summer training program focused on capacity-building for teachers and school leaders. And you’ll need a certificate to prove it, in a field that matches what you’re applying for.
In addition, you must know basic concepts of
- English language
- Technology (Basic computer/digital skills)
After applying, the following steps will take place
- Written exam – This will be online, and you can take this exam from wherever you want
- Interview – This will be in person, so be prepared to present yourself and your experience to the interviewer
It is a relatively simple two-step procedure. There are no tricks to this. And this is a permanent position. A permanent job provides more stability.
Registrations are open from today, 20th July 2018 (Ethiopian Calendar), and will remain open for 15 consecutive working days, with online registration available from this date. All activities are done remotely, so there’s no need to visit an office to submit your application.
